Commissioned project by Imagen Salvaje and the International Photography Festival of Valparaíso FIFV to reinterpret the photobook CURAUMA (FIFV Ediciones, 2017) of the French photographer Bertrand Meunier.
This version of the project is based on another city called Valparaíso but located in the state of Florida (USA), home to the largest military airbase in the world and with a population of no more than 6,000 people.
Through declassified archives from Eglin Air Force Base, interactions with the community, and a mixture of photographs from the book Curauma, a drawn parallel is created based on the fantasy that these two cities share the same name but differ in their cultural relationship with the spaces of habitat and death.
